1. Manage Number Life Cycle


1.1. Available

  • The number is seen and purchased by your customers.

  • As a tool to manage number cost, users are able to track if any number remains Available state for more than 3 months.


1.2. Reserved

  • A number can be reserved to 

    • when a specific customer wants to have a number

    • when you want to reserve numbers for future use, e.g. customer account is not created yet, save a nice number to win sales.

  • Reserve does not require documentation.

  • Free reservation period (Normal number):

    • Number state change from Available to Reserved: 28 days. 

    • Number state change from Assigned to Reserved 

      • After a subscription expires: 56 days.

      • After a subscription is terminated: 28 days.

      • After a number is swapped out of a subscription: 1 day

  • 7 days before the reservation expires, system notifies the reserver via email.

    • Customer: billing email

    • Partner: owner email

  • After the reservation expires, the number is released to the inventory.

  • Charged reservation:

    • Happen after the free period

    • You need to purchase a product called Number reservation 

    • An SKU has to be created for this purpose.

    • Number captures this event and extend the reservation.

1.3. Lock

  • A locked number is not reserved or assigned to anyone. It is a special use case of reservation in which the reserver is unidentified. Example, Ported in number and the number is not ready to be purchased.

  • Free lock: 28 days

  • 7 days before the lock expires: 

    • Notify support 

      • Hoiio support

      • B3 support

  • After the lock expires: 

    • Notify support 

      • Hoiio support

      • B3 support

    • The number is released to the inventory.

  • The change applies to NEW locked numbers. Existing locked numbers at the time of deployment are not affected. It means they are being locked permanently until Ops team performs any action.


1.4. Assigned

  • The number is being attached to an active subscription. 

  • Its status is changed when the subscription expires.



1.5. Deleted

  • The number is removed from the inventory. 

  • Possible reasons: ported out, return to vendor, fault numbers.


2. Search and export


Support basic and advanced search. Fields supported:

  • State: Available, Reserved, Assigned, Locked, Deleted.

  • Filter by SKU code

  • Number pattern: e.g. 65, +65, +65*

  • Capability: voice, fax, sms

  • Vendor

  • Country

  • Routing

  • Filter by special properties

    • Golden

    • Ported-In

  • Visible to domain

  • Subscription UUID

  • Owner UUID


3. Others


  • Add numbers



  • Can add maximum 50 numbers at once, separated by comma.
  • Vendor: Vendor of the numbers.
  • Country: Country Code.
  • SKU: Number SKU.
  • Remove numbers or Update number attributes: Click the eye icon ? > choose Actions
